Hookpost
Hookpost is a social media scheduler made by the Hookstep team. You write a post once, schedule it on a single calendar, and Hookpost publishes it to each network at the time you pick. It is also built so that AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor can work with it directly, through an MCP server, an API and a command line tool.
What it does
The composer lets you write one post and adapt it per network, with character limits checked before the post is queued. The calendar shows everything that is scheduled and lets you drag posts to a new slot. AI writing and image help sits inside the composer, and you decide what to keep.
- Publishing today to X, LinkedIn (personal profiles), YouTube (videos and Shorts), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Discord, Slack, Telegram, WordPress, Hashnode, Dev.to, Lemmy, Nostr and email through Listmonk.
- Instagram and Threads are built and waiting on Meta's app approval for the cloud version, and Pinterest connects but cannot publish until Pinterest grants API access. The product site's channel pages state the current status of each network.
- A public REST API, webhooks, a command line tool (npx hookpost) and a community node for n8n.
Working with AI assistants
Hookpost exposes an MCP server, the open protocol that lets an AI assistant call tools. Connected to Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or another MCP client, the assistant can list your channels, upload media, create posts as drafts or scheduled posts, list upcoming posts and delete them. It cannot connect a new channel for you; that stays a step you do in Hookpost.

Pricing in brief
Hookpost starts with three free posts and no card. Paid plans are flat-priced instead of charging per connected channel, and in India they are billed in rupees with UPI Autopay through Razorpay. Plan names and prices change, so the pricing page on the product site is the source of truth.
Who it is for
Creators, small businesses and agencies who post to several networks and want one calendar, and developers who want to schedule from code or from an AI assistant. It is a hosted product: the code is proprietary and is not offered for self-hosting.

No. HookStep at hookstep.in is a tech hiring platform. Hookpost is a separate social media scheduler from the same team, with its own accounts, data, privacy policy and terms.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. New accounts get three free posts without entering a card.
Does Hookpost post to Instagram?
Instagram support is built and is waiting on Meta's app approval for the cloud version at the time of writing. Check the product site for the current status before you plan around it.
