Position Overview
On behalf of our global client, Hookstep is seeking a high-level Cerner Subject Matter Expert to serve as a technical assessor. Our client is scaling their healthcare engineering division and requires a veteran architect or lead engineer to conduct rigorous technical evaluations of senior-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Auditing: Lead the final technical round for candidates applying for Senior Cerner Developer and Architect positions.
Deep-Dive Testing: Validate proficiency in CCL (Cerner Command Language), Millennium Data Models, and Discern Expert rules through live questioning or code review.
Interoperability Validation: Ensure candidates have practical (not just theoretical) experience with HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR standards.
Reporting: Submit a comprehensive technical scorecard to Hookstep and the client's hiring manager, highlighting the candidate's architectural depth and potential "red flags."
Technical Qualifications
Expertise: 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 6+ years specializing in Cerner Millennium.
Systems Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Oracle Health (Cerner) ecosystem, including Bedrock configuration and FSI (Foreign System Interfaces).
Integrations: Experience with modern healthcare API integrations and cloud-based EHR deployments (OCI preferred).
Experience: Prior experience as a Technical Lead or Hiring Manager is highly preferred.
