About the Role
Join our Engineering team as a ServiceNow ITOM / Event Management Developer, where you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing robust IT Operations Management solutions. This full-time remote position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in optimizing IT service delivery and event correlation within the ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions within ServiceNow ITOM, with a strong focus on Event Management.
- Configure and maintain Event Management rules, alerts, connectors, and notifications to ensure optimal operational awareness.
- Integrate ServiceNow with various monitoring tools and third-party systems using APIs and MID Servers.
- Develop custom applications, modules, and workflows using JavaScript, GlideScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization of ITOM solutions.
- Collaborate closely with IT Operations, architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Provide technical support and expertise for existing ServiceNow ITOM implementations.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of hands-on development experience with ServiceNow, specifically within IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow Event Management, including deep knowledge of configuration, correlation rules, and alert management.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, AngularJS, and other scripting languages relevant to ServiceNow development.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, and MID Servers.
- Solid understanding of ITIL principles and IT Operations processes, with an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective, timely resolutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
Nice to Have
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist - Event Management.
- Experience with other ServiceNow ITOM modules like Discovery, Service Mapping, or Operational Intelligence.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their monitoring integrations.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, remote-first development environment.
