About the Role
Join Sakshi Bhanushali as a Full-time Remote Database Developer, where you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing our database solutions. This role primarily focuses on critical SQL migration projects and robust PostgreSQL implementations. You will play a vital part in ensuring data integrity, performance, and seamless transitions across our data infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable database schemas and data models in PostgreSQL.
- Execute complex SQL migration strategies, ensuring data accuracy and minimal system downtime.
- Optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and configuration adjustments.
- Develop and manage robust ETL processes for data integration from various sources.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate database solutions with new and existing applications.
- Implement and enforce database security best practices and data governance policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to maintain system reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-6 years of professional experience as a Database Developer, SQL Developer, or similar role.
- Proven expertise in PostgreSQL development, administration, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience with various SQL migration methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Solid understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for database automation and tooling.
